Right there on their own website, they told me to install the.ppd driver directly from the /usr/share/turboprint/ppd directory. Sure enough, in there were every single driver listed on the site. So I did an experiment and used Gnome-cups-manager under Computer/System configuration, and added another printer-there already was one created by Turboprint. This 'other' printer of course was the same Canon i475. I pointed it directly at the.ppd file, and ran a test page. No logos this time. For example I tried printing testpageletter.ps which comes with their free package, all texts (in black), the left side of the color strips, and the black tank top weared by the girl in the picture show up white.

But the black strips on the tiger on the right top corner of the picture are there (they might be very dark, not really black). I checked the ink and its full.
